Day Long Intensive

If we have not peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Mother Theresa.

Every three months Openground hosts a Day Long Intensive, which as well as being an integral part of the course each term, is also available for past participants. This is an opportunity for people who have done the course, and the teachers of the course, to come together to spend a day practicing meditation. Over the course of the day, we will spend most of the time in silence, and some time sharing our experience. You will be led through various meditations including sitting, walking, and stretching. There will also be time spent in the beautiful surrounds ... light, birds and trees. This day of meditation training provides time and space for focused practice which can refresh mindfulness skills and strengthen ongoing practice at home.

For information about upcoming Intensives please refer to your town or city under "MBSR Course Locations".

Past participants are most welcome to attend the All-day intensive. We ask that you donate something (maybe $40 or whatever you can afford) to a charity of your choice for attendance at the Day Long Intensive. Both past and current participants will receive an email reminder one week prior to the Day Long Intensive.

Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgementally. - Jon Kabat-Zinn
