How I came into teaching mindfulness
It was while working in private practice in 2019, offering holistic healing and counselling to clients, that I began looking for more ways to support them. Having experienced the profound benefits of mindfulness firsthand 8 years earlier, I wanted to offer something more substantial and evidence-based than meditation apps alone. So I decided to study MBSR and launched straight into teaching.Â
Prior to discovering mindfulness as a personal practice, I practiced mantra-based meditation for 20+ years. While it was valuable, mindfulness was deeply transformative. The discovery that one could inquire into and get to know the mind was nothing short of liberating. Who knew! I’ve long been curious about what it means to be human, the mind-body connection, and the emerging neuroscience. MBSR and mindfulness weave these interests together beautifully.
I first came to meditation after years of addiction, trauma and chronic pain.
Mindfulness joined so many dots for me, supporting deeper healing, greater self-knowledge and self-compassion - a journey that continues to unfold. Teaching MBSR is very rewarding for me and serves as a continual reminder to live life more fully, with all its 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows.

Specialisation
My lived experience of addiction, trauma, and recovery from chronic pain informs the way I support others who may have or may be experiencing similar challenges. I bring a trauma-informed approach to my work, grounded in empathy, compassion and respect.
I facilitate mindfulness sessions both for frontline workers supporting people affected by trauma, and for clients directly.
Having had a slightly unconventional life journey, I am able to connect with people from all walks of life with authenticity.
Teaching Philosophy
Come as you are - I truly believe that if I can meditate, anyone can. I love to share my passion for mindfulness and its transformative potential, no matter where we’re at or who we are. There’s always something new to discover - just take what resonates with you. I’m committed to creating space for people just as they are, supporting them to rediscover their innate wisdom - all with a healthy dose of humour.
