MBSR Teacher, social worker, writer

How I came into teaching mindfulness?

I came across MBSR when I was navigating a period of great uncertainty and transition. Discovering a set of teachings that were extremely practical as much as they were compassionate, intelligent and accessible was highly appealing and stayed with me. Four years later, after continuing to practice and cementing my own learning, I decided to continue with the teacher training through MTIA.

I have always been drawn to teachings that are simple, accessible and down to earth as well as connecting with what is meaningful and sacred when it comes to our shared human experience. I have really found a home in this respect amongst the teachings and community within Openground. I love that each class is always unique and I love the culture of learning from everyone- knowing we are all teachers and students alike.

Teaching Philosophy

When in doubt, kindness is always a good place to start... Softening with ourselves can go a long way, as can trusting the path to be messy and unclear... The wisdom we seek is always already within us and realness is a gift and an entry point in
